Teaching Philosophy:
Everything we need in life is already inside of us! My daily devotion is to be passionate about music, create a respective and safe environment, present students with questions instead of answers, and stay relevant in order to facilitate the learning process. It is my charge that I provide protection, affection, provide an environment of connections, and ethical correction. I share my smile, passionate musicianship, challenges, successes, and my own personal story of resilience to ensure my students understand what it means to be resilient as a 21st-century learner. I share that you can achieve regardless of socioeconomic status or what statistics state. Personally, I believe that music is a process and life is a process. As an educator I feel that I am able to teach beyond music by teaching students how to embrace and enjoy their own process. Who wouldn’t love a career of teaching life through music!
